23 Dec 07 email from Deborah Loessel, granddaughter of Anton Loessel: My uncle's name is Fred Loessel, who is the son of William Loessel [his birth certificate actually states his name as "Willie" O, brother of Carrie, Bertha, Fred and Lulu [she was one of my most favorite aunts -- I stayed with her once when my mother was ill.] When I was born, my family lived for a short time in an apartment in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn that was owned by my father's Aunt Carrie, whose husband was Gus, and my earliest memories are of crawling up the stairs to their apartment where they had some toys I played with. My grandfather's parents were Carolyn [Carrie] and Anton Loessel. My grandfather died in April of 1992, the last of his siblings. He had four children, my father William, Victoria, Andrew, and Frederick. Allen Van Wicklen's wife's name is Peggy and they had a daughter, Nancy who also has a daughter, Stephanie. I have a photo of Anton and Carolyn and a copy of my grandfather's birth certificate.
